Are you an accomplished Construction Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in new build residential or construction projects? Our client, a distinguished developer specialising in innovative new build residential developments, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Role Overview:

As a Construction Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing costs and contractual arrangements for a range of projects. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, you will ensure the successful financial management of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate cost analysis, budget estimation, and cost control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Manage and administer contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project progress and expenses, providing regular reports to the management team.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure efficient project delivery while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to costs and contracts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a focus on new build residential and construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge of UK construction regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Experience gained in either a housing or main contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is advantageous.
  • Professional membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent is desirable.
