Site Engineer

We are partnering with a prominent main contractor in their search for a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic organisation that specialises in new build projects across Central Scotland. If you have experience in the construction industry and a proven track record in delivering successful projects, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out site surveys, setting out, and leveling for projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of engineering designs and specifications.
  • Monitor and control quality assurance procedures on site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of resources, equipment, and materials required for construction activities.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain effective communication and resolve any technical queries.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site team, including junior engineers and site staff.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on new build projects, preferably within a main contracting environment.
  • Proficient in setting out and surveying techniques using industry-standard equipment and software.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to overcome challenges on-site.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable.
  • Valid driving license is required.
