They are seeking a talented Estimator to join their team in Fife. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial fit outs and a keen eye for detail. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of their project bids. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial fit out projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for bids.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and pricing negotiations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present estimates to clients with confidence and clarity.
  • Continuously monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to inform estimating strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry, with specific experience in fit outs highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
