Conrad Consulting have partnered with a design studio in Manchester to find an ambitious and career-driven Senior Architect with a strong background in Urban Design.

Our client are a mainstay in the UK Architectural scene, with a strong presence in the Residential, Masterplanning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design sectors. They work on projects across the UK and have developed an international presence in recent years.

Typically, their project work could be anything from smaller community parks, housing schemes & neighbourhoods to the Urban Design of entire city districts. They are a collaborative team that, foster a creative design approach whilst retaining an awareness for the environment they work within.

About the Associate Architect/Urban Designer role:

We are looking for a Senior or Associate level Architect / Urban Designer to join this Manchester-based studio. This person will work in a key, strategic role within the Manchester team and will work closely with senior colleagues, Directors and those across the regional studios.

The role will include the leading and coordination of various large-scale projects. Additionally, there will be a requirement to develop and expand the client base of the company and overseeing an experienced, growing design team of colleagues.

Requirements of the Associate Architect/Urban Designer.

  • ARB Registration. Possibly CMLI or similar Urban Landscape Architecture/Urban Design qualification would be desirable too.
  • 10 years of practical experience.
  • Excellent Design capabilities.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate with internal and external teams.
