About our client:
A dynamic team of 20 Chartered Quantity Surveyors, operating in both the public and private sectors. Based in Glasgow, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their innovative and collaborative team.
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Leading cost management and procurement strategies.
- Preparing, managing, and reviewing cost estimates and budgets.
- Monitoring project financial performance and providing recommendations for cost control.
- Conducting risk assessments and providing solutions for risk mitigation.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Chartered status as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS).
- Proven experience in cost management and procurement.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and relevant regulations.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office.
