One of the South East of England’s most highly respected and privately owned developers is set to appoint a senior engineer in their Welwyn Garden City office.
This is an award-winning firm who seek candidates with strong technical skills to work on a broad range of notable residential projects, from small to large scale.
Self-motivation and ambition are essential. You will be required to liaise at all levels, including attending site and Local Authority meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed designs for residential development infrastructure, including site layouts, highways, services, drainage, and foundations;
- Manage own project workload and coordinate all stages from concept to completion;
- Prepare & submit relevant applications including Sections 38, 278, 104 and 106;
- Fully conversant with Building Regulations and Planning Conditions;
- Support more junior team members, mentoring and assisting with their career development;
- Attend site visit throughout all project stages, dealing with technical queries.
About you:
- Degree in civil engineering;
- Chartered or Incorporate MICE or working towards (support on offer);
- Experience in a similar role within a consultancy or housebuilder;
- Experience in creating detailed designs of roads and drainage to support housing developments;
- Proficient in AutoCAD, PDS and FLOW.
