I began my career as a recruitment consultant in 1996. As I gained experience and began specialising in Civil and Structural recruitment, I realised the need for a dedicated industry consultancy. As a result, I founded Conrad Consulting in 2001, with the aim of offering recruitment services exclusively to civil and structural consultancies. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength, supplying all levels of high quality personnel on both a permanent and contract basis.
Although Conrad Consulting has grown considerably, I remain at the helm as Director and liaise personally with civil and structural engineers at all levels, from Graduate Structural / Civil Engineer to Director / Partner, including CAD / Revit Technicians. The key to our success over the years has been in offering this highly personalised service, taking into account individual clients’ and candidates’ requirements and listening to their concerns. We have deliberately kept the company ‘small and friendly’ so that we can continue to do this.
I firmly believe that clear communication with both the client – particularly the key decision maker – and the potential candidate is fundamental to successful recruitment. Our experienced team pride themselves in taking the time to understand the needs of all parties, thereby providing the best solution possible.
I live in Suffolk, a beautiful part of the country, with my wife and 3 young boys. I enjoy spending time at the weekends with my family, whether it’s relaxing at home or going out and about trying to tire the boys who have endless energy!
Here at Conrad we have a football team and this, along with regular gym training, helps me keep fit. As a team we also enjoy going out for the odd beer or two!
