Lead Structural Engineer (fully remote)

Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead the design of the OHL team. Whilst this role is a team lead role, they do offer a fully remote option.
As the lead design engineer you will head-up, co-ordinate, and produce design engineering solutions to support MESTN OHL and substation construction projects, with a primary focus on structural engineering.
Duties:
- Ensure projects delivered on time and within budget;
- Extensive experience in steel lattice structure design and capable in other areas of OHL;
- Manage day to day design activities;
- Be project lead and senior design resource in support of projects, delivering high quality design outputs;
- Have up to date knowledge of National Grid, SPEN, ENA and other relevant industry standards;
- Liaise with other members of the team, including engineers and technicians, to maximise productivity;
- Carry out all associated resourcing, reporting solutions to Design Manager;
- Represent our client at internal and external meetings.
About you:
- Extensive experience using PLS TOWER and PLS CADD;
- Degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering (BEng Honours);
- At least 4 years’ experience in the OHL industry;
- Chartered or near Chartered.
