We are recruiting exclusively for one of our leading clients. They are looking to appoint a new Director of Structures in their Cambridge office.
This role would suit a Chartered Structural Engineer who has an in-depth knowledge of the area, excellent business development and natural leadership skills with the ability and experience to head up and grow a structural engineering team. You will drive forward and strengthen their Cambridge presence and work on building client relationships.
You will join an award-winning multi-disciplinary design, compliance and engineering consultancy who operate across a network of national offices. Their purpose is to shape a better built environment for people to live, work, learn and play.
As Director of Structures, you will work to develop future growth strategy of the office and will be responsible for leading and developing your own team.
Key responsibilities:
- Take leadership on prospecting new clients, develop business and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship;
- Win business by having developed your own network of structural engineering clients in the Cambridge area;
- Nurture and maintain existing relationships, securing repeat business;
- Provide leadership, management and technical quality to the Cambridge buildings structures team;
- Contribute to Board meetings, planning, targeting, structuring and implementing business plans;
- Project resourcing;
- Train and lead members of your team, ensuring their professional development;
- Leading and managing projects.
