Architectural Technologist

£36,000-£42,000

Permanent

Birmingham, West Midlands

Conrad Consulting are delighted to be presenting an outstanding opportunity to an experienced Architectural Technologist, to join an exciting, fast growing practice based in Birmingham city centre.

THE PRACTICE:

The practice are fairly recently established having been in operation for close to 5 years, in which time they have built an enviable client portfolio predominantly focusing on high end Residential schemes, with the recent addition of more Commercially focused projects. They are growing at a sustainable yet quick rate, and are now looking to add an Architectural Technologist and an Architect to their growing team.

Given the nature of the work the practice focus on along with the size of the company, the Architectural Technologist for this position needs to hold at least 5-10 years of experience, and be comfortable working at most RIBA stages, particularly from Stage 4 onwards. You will be joining a fast moving practice with multiple projects ongoing at once, so you will need to be able to adapt to an ever changing landscape.

Located very close to Birmingham city centre, their office is a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station and 7 minutes from Moor Street station, so ideal for Architects using rail to get to work, and also ideal for those wanting to get their daily steps in on the FitBit! The practice has a private, gated car park so perfect for Architects that wish to drive in.

THE ROLE - ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

The position on offer within this practice is for an Architectural Technologist with approximately 5-10 years of industry experience, ideally an Architectural Technologist with experience of working on high end Residential and Commercial projects.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join a practice in the early part of its journey, which could see you quickly moving through to Senior/Associate/Director levels as the company continues to grow. A commercially astute Architectural Technologist would therefore be well placed for this position.

As mentioned previously, experience at working at most RIBA stages would be advantageous with a particular focus on Stages 4 onwards. Project running experience would be beneficial but not necessarily essential for this position.

The practice utilise AutoCAD & Revit software predominantly, so prior experience of using these packages would be advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Degree in Architectural Technology or a HNC/HND in a related field.
  • CIAT membership, or ACIAT and working towards full chartership.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong communicative skills, both written and verbal.
  • Happy to work alone or as part of a team.

In return, the successful Architectural Technologist will be offered a salary in the region of £36,000-£42,000 per annum. Whilst there will be opportunity for flexible/hybrid working on occasion, it is preferred that the Architectural Technologist be office based for the majority. Therefore candidates would need to be based within Birmingham or within commutable range.
