Overview
Currently working on a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients to obtain a Senior Geotechnical Engineer as they look to expand their operations in their London office. The role would see the candidate assist in the internal build-out of their already distinguished team working on multiple geotechnical mandates nationwide and overseeing the future grow out and development of the team.
Requirements
- - A postgraduate degree in a related discipline (Meng, MSc, etc.) combined with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Geology or Engineering.
- - While not necessary, having a chartered accreditation (CEng) from an appropriate institution would be preferred.
- - A track record of success and extensive experience working at a high level in the geotechnical and engineering fields.
Responsibilities
- Has excellent technical abilities that are transferable to more complex modelling projects.
- Skilled in writing clear, technically sound reports based on the findings of site analyses, investigations, and design suggestions that can be distributed to clients and other stakeholders.
- Should possess previous expertise carrying out on-site examinations and investigations, which entail testing soil properties like compaction, permeability, density, and strength.
- Has the capacity to develop junior team members' technical skills and performance within the engineering department.
- Capable of contributing to projects by recognising problems and coming up with fixes.
