If you're aiming to expand your industry expertise and advance your career in project management, my client business in Liverpool is actively seeking Project Managers to join them on a broad range of projects, including some of the greatest academic research institutes, world-class sporting teams, automotive OEMs, and world-class blue chip companies.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Establish channels of communication and reporting procedures with the client and within the design team, providing a single point of contact for all project-related matters.
  • Establish comprehensive client briefs and the roles and responsibilities of consultants and specialists
  • Oversee the project's finances from start to finish, including cash flow projections, project spending tracking, client payment recommendations, internal budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage contacts through JCT and NEC
  • Keep an eye on and report on the contractors' progress in relation to the contract programme.
  • Overseeing consultant teams to guarantee that the contractor's design is carried out in accordance with the specifications and contract.
  • Communicate with the client regarding deviations from specifications, budgets, and other matters.
  • Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project, including inspection, scheduling, and acceptance of works required under the contract's defects liability and maintenance provisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, preferably from a construction consultant; pursuing professional chartership or eager to start the process MICE, RIBA, CIOB, and RICS.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (reports, directions, etc.).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Successfully led and completed difficult and demanding projects.
  • Experience managing clients.
  • Tender submission preparation expertise.
