An Associate Level Structural Engineer is sought to join this medium sized multi-disciplinary practice located in London (Hybrid working), Do you consider yourself to be talented and ambitious with aspirations to be a future leader, if so, we would like to hear from you if at senior or principal looking to make your next career move.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player within a financially sound and well-established business. Work will involve the design and management of a range of projects from conception through to completion and assisting with running the practice.
You should have a good working knowledge of design and construction in a range of materials, from reinforced concrete to structural steelwork, masonry, and timber.
You should be a pro-active Chartered Structural Engineer, keen to join a highly motivated, ambitious, and professional team. You will be working on a variety of building and engineering projects, both new build and refurbishment in the care home sector.
You must be good at complex and fiddly residential refurbishment works as well as new buildings.
The role will most likely suit a candidate from a small or medium sized company background. You should be a hands-on design engineer and excellent manager, good with clients, skilled at report writing and have excellent technical expertise.
- Managing a team of Engineers and Technicians,
- Supervision and mentoring of junior members of staff,
- Attendance at client and design team meetings,
- Preparation of fee proposals and support on major bids, Involvement in business development activities,
- MEng in civil or structural engineering,
- A Chartered engineer
- A minimum of 8 years' structural engineering design experience
