What sort of person succeeds in this role, and how quickly can I progress?
There is no formula for the ideal candidate for this type of role, however key characteristics we always recognise in our top performing consultants are:
DRIVE - Focused, goal-driven and take on challenges head-first. Always questioning how things can be done better.
RESILIENCE - Handling fall-backs. With recruitment, working with people is largely unpredictable, meaning your efforts may need to change direction at short notice. Those who can adapt quickest, thrive!
PASSION - Actively research and interest in their patch and sector to ensure they are able to engage with candidates, clients and colleagues - offering a high-standard service to clients.
We find our best consultants don’t require mentoring for long and are keen to take full reign of their desk.
