We have partnered with a leading company in the construction and electrical sector, dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Their expertise spans across various domains, with a particular focus on substations up to 132kV. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee new build and refurbishment works on substations within East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the construction and refurbishment of substation projects up to 132kV, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing construction projects within the electrical sector, ideally with specific experience in substation work up to 132kV.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field are highly desirable.
