Senior Building Surveyor

£55,000 - £65,000 (Permanent)

Our client, a prestigious and respected multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their team based in Nottingham. Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Leading and managing a team of Surveyors to deliver high-quality building surveying services
  • Conducting site visits and inspections, producing detailed reports on building conditions and defects, and providing expert advice on remedial measures
  • Identifying and managing risks associated with building projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, statutes, and local codes
  • Preparing specifications, contract documents, and tender reports for construction projects
  • Providing expert advice on construction methodologies, materials, and techniques
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within set deadlines and budget constraints
  • Offering guidance and support to junior surveyors, helping to develop their skills and knowledge

 

Requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or equivalent (preferably RICS accredited)
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, preferably within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Proven expertise in producing high-quality building surveying reports and delivering projects from inception to completion
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and other relevant industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team of surveyors

 

On offer for the Senior Building Surveyor:

 

  • The salary for this position ranges from £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays with the ability to buy/sell
