Position: Quantity Surveyor
Employment Type: Full-Time
Collaborating with an innovative new build housing developer based in Aberdeen who are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to enhance their commercial team. We are looking for a talented individual with experience of delivering, ideally, new build housing developments, however wider construction experience is greatly welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for new build housing projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assist in project planning and procurement.
- Monitor project progress and costs, ensuring that all financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are adhered to.
- Prepare and submit progress reports and assist in resolving any cost-related issues.
- Conduct valuations and manage variations, ensuring that all changes are documented accurately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on new build housing projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legislation.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
