Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established and dynamic commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake cost estimation, tendering, and procurement activities.
* Manage subcontractor agreements and payments.
* Monitor project costs and financial performance against budget.
* Prepare and submit accurate progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Provide contractual advice and support to project teams.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of civil engineering projects and contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel and QS software.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
