£30,000 - £40,000 per annum (Permanent)
Working out of their office in South Manchester, a vacancy for an experienced Quantity Surveyor is available to work in a thriving company with offices all over the North of England. The sole purpose of this role is delivering services to clients inside the agreed budgets and timescales while handling key client relationships.
·Positive liaising with clients and generate business relationships to gain commercial advantage
·Providing services (Employer's Agent and Quantity Surveying) through-out the North West
·Show solid interpersonal abilities worthy of senior management level.
·Provide input on cost planning, feasibility studies, strategic cost advice, value engineering, forecasts for cash flow, project benchmarking.
·Showcase exceptional organizational abilities in regard to your workload (Working out priority)
·Knowledge of and can showcase safety awareness on site; adhering to design standards and regulation
·Offering input in regard to tender bids and practice fees
·Provide input on risk and uncertainty management, post contract cost and change control, working on tender preparation and analysis contract, project close out and review, contract strategy and procurement, implementation and management (JCT and NEC3), arranging concluding account settlements; project programming, cost planning for life cycle, fund due diligence/monitoring work and project audits
·Help with knowledge supervision and expansion in relation to Quantity Surveying and Project Management across the varied practice disciplines.
The ideal candidate will possess the listed attributes:
·An appropriate RICS accredited degree qualification.
·Existing professional membership of the RICS (MRICS) relating to the QS and Construction Pathway.
·Being a professional example, at all times, to colleagues, clients and other stakeholders across of forms of communications.
·History of working in both the Private and Public Sectors across multiple construction sectors.
·Knowledge of administering NEC3 and JCT contracts.
·History of leading a successful team.
·Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to operate inside project time constraints.
·Exceptional communication skills to be able to successfully liaise with staff, contractors, clients etc.
·The ability to welcome feedback which allows advancements for both the practices performance as well as your own.
·Will happily work over their contracted hours, within reason, in order to meet deadlines.
Salary on offer:
£30,000 - £40,000
