Project Manager

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum + + Good Benefits (Permanent)


Conrad is pleased to be supporting a growing construction specialists based locally in Norfolk who have an exciting opportunity for a growing Project Manager to join their successful team

About the Company

This reputable Norfolk based construction company specialise in a range of works including: Roofing, structural work, heating & electrical, kitchen & bathroom installations, scaffolding, insurance & remedial works. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for a Project Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Extensive experience of successfully managing and delivering building and refurbishment projects simultaneously within the Social/Affordable Housing, Public, Education, Defence and Commercial sector environments
* A proven track record in delivering project from inception to construction and completion
* Broad experience of the built environment, ranging from minor maintenance work, small scale projects through to large and complex major projects up to £3m requiring multiple specialist packages

the Job:

* You will take responsibility and Project Management a multiple of projects up to a value of £3m
* Manage, optimise and monitor performance of staff, labour and sub-contractor resources on the contract/project to achieve the highest productivity and performance standards in all respects, including agreeing rates for labour, materials and plant requirements, etc
* Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays
* Ensure procurement and reconciliation of materials is carried out in accordance with Company procedures to best value and to prevent delays
* Ensure site team compliance with company commercial policies and procedures
* Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts
* Ensure correct commercial engagement of subcontractors
* Implement the risk management process, review risk register and check risk controls
* Review monthly CVRs with the project teams, implementing necessary actions
* Work alongside senior operational and commercial colleagues to build, manage and motivate an effective and high-quality performing division
* Continually review resources/ delivery solutions with a view to maximising operational capabilities, delivery, efficiencies and overall contribution
* Liaise with client/customer representatives as required on a day to day basis to discuss potential issues / delays
* You will proactively seek new business opportunities and growth with existing clients
* Develop new ways to improve operational delivery and service offering to create new business opportunities
* You will continue to build and maintain good relationships with both the client and external customers
* Produce progress reports and KPI data against the programme and operational delivery reports at regular intervals to the Directors/Operations Manager and onward communication to clients
