Project Manager

£40,000 - £55,000 per annum (Permanent)


A UK construction and property consultancy are recruiting for a Project Manager to operate on large residential and commercial projects with values up to £20m. This is all due to a rise in demand for their high-quality services in both the private and public sectors.

Based at their offices in Manchester, you will be in charge of leading a wide range of projects from start to finish with the sole focus of meeting your client's requirements.

Main Duties:

·Understand the client's brief and what needs to be achieved. From this you will responsible for making the specialists/consultants aware of their tasks and that clear communication is kept with the design team and client
·Carry out feasibility studies e.g. site investigations, site surveys, site evaluations etc
·Co-ordinate and acquire planning consent and all statutory approvals
·Analyse and track the construction works to make sure that the quality is impeccable, and the specification is being met
·Create reports on a regular basis for the client regarding every aspect of the project like costs, progress, programme and risks/quality
·Lead co-ordination meetings, progress meetings and project meetings during the contracted period
·Be a key point of contact taking the lead for all project aspects and regular contact with the client
·Manage the finances from start to finish e.g. regular project expenditure updates, cash flow forecasts, and recommendations of payments by client
·Seek and interview contractors for negotiation or tendering, assess tenders received and also appoint contractors

Skills Required:

·MCIOB or MRICS qualified ideally along with experience in Project Management
·Comfortable with MS Project and MS Office (essential)
·Industry experience in Commercial/Residential sectors would be advantageous
·Excellent communication
·Can handle complicated issues between the client and project team
·Passion for development
·Strong leadership
·Being flexible to work

Salary on offer:

£40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
