Assistant Electrical Contracts Manager

£35,000 - £44,000 per annum + Car/Allowance (Permanent)


Our client is a major player in the UK we are unique in offering both operational capability and consultancy expertise in range and depth. Their expertise includes emergency response; environmental, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services as well as specialist fuel service capabilities; land and marine.

As an assistant Electrical Contracts Manager you will assist in the overseeing and contract managing all planning within the division enabling colleagues to focus on new areas of the business.
The post holder may be required to assist with anticipated new projects; this requirement will depend on the post holder's skills, knowledge and capability.
The post holder will be required to assist and contribute to the efficient management of operations and administration within the division.

·Full responsibility for contract planning.
·Carry out site Audits as and when required.
·Assist in preparing quotations and tenders.
·Responsibility for ensuring the security of all Company equipment.
·Ensure that work is to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation.
·Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
·Liaison with Service engineers and office staff personnel regarding all works.
·Any other duties for which the post holder is qualified for and capable of undertaking.

It is your contractual duty to follow Health and Safety instructions issued by the Company, and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
The Company expects all employees to adhere to safe working practices and all tasks should be undertaken, applying correct procedures and seeking precise advice and guidance from supervision when required.

In addition to a probationary review period and annual appraisal, the postholder will be continually monitored to ensure performance is as expected and required. Supervision may choose to discuss performance at any time to assist the development of the postholder.

·Must have knowledge of military MoD electrical codes of practice.
·Knowledge of electronics and Health and Safety qualification will be an advantage.
·Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
·Previous experience in contract planning.
·Ideally possess knowledge of hazardous area electrical installations.
·Familiar with 17th Edition Electrical codes of practice.
·Must possess current legal Driving licence.
·Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation.
·Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
