Development Manager

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefts (Permanent)

My client is looking for an experienced Development to join their growing public sector team based in London.

Requirements of the Development Manager:

* MRICS qualified
* Experienced in dealing with local authority clients
* Full drivers license
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of housing development for local authorities in a consultancy environment across all elements of the development process from strategy to project completion
* Experience of operating Argus Developer appraisal software and development cashflow analysis.
* Understanding of sustainability issues, particularly zero carbon in residential development

Role of the Development Manager:

* Delivery of property development solutions from inception through feasibility, design and planning stages to completion and exit
* Creating development strategies and establishing scheme viability for mixed tenure and affordable housing residential schemes
* Analysis and production of property and housing backed business case solutions, using experience of direct local authority residential development, the use of wholly owned companies, joint ventures and other partnering solutions.
* Assembling and leading multi-disciplinary design teams
* Lead the procurement and appointment of developer partners with support from the Council officers and legal advisors
* Lead the procurement and appointment of contractors
* Providing leadership and advice on all matters of housing development for local authority clients
* Presenting to our clients Senior Management, complex solutions and recommendations to help them deliver ambitious housing programmes.

On offer for the Development Manager:

* A starting salary of between £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
