Contract Manager

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum (Permanent)


A rise in the demand for my clients' expertise has resulted in them starting a search for a Contracts Manager. On a day to day basis in the UK, they deliver unparalleled construction services across sectors ranging from Retail to Education, Health to Industrial on projects valued up to £10 million.

Its not that often a chance like this comes up to join one of Yorkshires' main contractors who have years of experience in their ranks regarding successful results on a wide range of projects.

·Lead the team and make sure all elements are fully covered and handled at all times from subcontract / materials to client expectations
·Deliver the project on time, inside the budget and to a high quality
·Be accountable for all fundamentals of the contract
·Liaise with the client, agents and the design team

·Confirm % complete for Site meetings
·Working with site managers you will generate a target programme
·Communicate with subcontractors to make their targets known and they have signed up to them
·Create a construction programme
·Produce weekly / monthly progress reports against target programme and adjust when required
·Ensure the site managers are revising and monitoring progress against the programme

Site Manager related:
·If an issue arises on site i.e. lack of manpower or poor subcontract performance, then help and guide the SM
·Govern and manage
·Deliberate and make sure they are fixated on the critical path items and are scheduling and sequencing work to stop delays on site
·Inspire them to attain the finest results and output
·Make sure they have all the evidence to permit them to attain their projected targets.

Sub-Contractor related:
·Monitor to see if there are no issues on site delaying work and if there is then rectify it
·Appear at Pre-Order / Pre-Start meetings
·Make sure QS are employing suitable sub-contractors for the job and in an appropriate manner
·Analysis progress & quality on site
·Make sure all existing and studied data is sent and if any extra information is required then forward it on

·Ensure long lead items have been sorted and day to day matters are being planned in good time
·When materials need approving, make sure the correct party receives the information

Design and Design Team:
·Create and run RFI schedule
·Analyse design and drawings and offer comments/feedback to Design Team, document as necessary
·Lead and correct design issues which might effect the programme
·Lead the Design team to gain precise and appropriate information
·Highlight extra fundamentals of design that are needed early and communicate to Design Team

Health & Safety:
·Make sure Permits are being applied prior to the work starting on site
·Generate Construction Phase H&S Plan
·Perform H&S inspection when on site and deal with failures to comply
·Guarantee the site is properly set up and the managers have all the necessary information
·Help Site Managers with any issues at site level that require your assistance
·Help chase the approving RAM's from Sub-contractors

Snagging & Handover:
·On every site, perform quality and snag checks
·Help the site manager create snagging lists and co-ordinate trades and Subcontractors to finish all items before offering to the Design Team/Client

Customer & Client Liaison
·Account and communicate with the Client to request information & record as necessary
·Attain where passable client's expectations

·Deliver a Quality product, no exceptions

Paper Work
·Create Main Contractor Reports (MCR's) and other reports needed in conjunction with QS
·Obtain information for Building Manuals
·Assist QS with close out documents

Reporting & Responsibility
·Have overall leadership for the contract and report straight to the Contracts Director.
·Attend Contract reviews and bring up on site problems and progress

Wage on offer £40,000 - £60,000 D.O.E
