Principal Structural Engineer / Associate Structural Engineer
£45,000 - £55,000 per annum + tailored benefits package (Permanent)
Based within the stylish Northern Quarter of Manchester our client have recently opened their doors in Manchester and are looking to take on an experienced Principal or Associate Structural Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity, which will allow the right individual to build on the existing track record and reputation of our client who have a very strong name in the North of England already. You will work closely with the Manchester Director and will play an integral role in the growth and development of the business in the imminent future and in the years to come.

They have a very strong order book of projects in the North West already and current projects include £20m high-rise mixed used developments, education projects, large industrial units, £10m local authority Extra Care developments and hotels. As you can see there is great variety so they would require a Structural Engineer that has varied experience.

As a Principal Structural Engineer / Associate Structural Engineer your role will be predominately office-based in Manchester, with occasional visits to construction sites. The role itself is both technical and creative. You will have experience in delivery of projects from inception through to completion, and an ability manage resources, and effectively manage all aspects of projects.
As a Principal Structural Engineer / Associate Structural Engineer what Skills and Experience do you need?
- Six or more years' experience in the industry although those with less will be considered
- Chartered or near Chartered with the IStructE or ICE
- The ability to manage a team of engineers and technicians
- Good problem-solving skills
- Three-dimensional conceptual skills
- Extremely strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
