Architect required to join a busy, Cumbria-based design studio in close proximity to Windermere and several attractive locations in the region.

These types of roles are rare. I am often approached by people looking to relocate to the lake district and often this is met with a difficult response. That is all about to change, and I believe that the difficulties of the past 18 months have a lot to do with it. In the past 3 months I have been met with several new requests from Cumbria-based Architects looking for new staff to bolster their Architectural teams with exceptional new-hires. The pandemic has encouraged people to move away from big cities and the Lake district is an incredibly attractive proposition. New housing developments, schools and health facilities are popping up to meet with the increased demand.

Our client are a well-known Architectural employer in the region. Their office is in an idyllic location, is easily commutable and has access to various facilities nearby. The company have continued to establish themselves as one of the go-to Architectural brands in Cumbria, and as such as busier than ever. They are looking for a number of important new-hires to join the business, including an Architect. Primarily this new hire will be working on an exciting mixture of Resi, Education and Healthcare projects.

In order to be considered for the role, we would like applicants to review the following criteria and apply if they feel they meet [most of] them.

* ARB/RIBA Architect preferred.
* Minimum 2 years practical experience. We will consider anyone up to Senior/Associate level.
* Previous experience in one of the aforementioned sectors would be advantageous (Resi, Education, Health).
* REVIT experience would be beneficial, but is not essential for this role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Driving licence and access to a car (For site visits).

A generous salary will be on offer for the right individual, up to £45,000 per annum if candidates can evidence an excellent degree of suitability to the role and company.

Flexible working available, likely 2/3 days office-based and the rest from home.

We are happy to look at a longer timescale, possibly 2 or 3 months for the individual to relocate if that is applicable.
