Can you direct the flow of millions of pounds whilst tracking down pennies at the same time? Do you also thrive working in a busy office while maintaining a high level of accuracy in your work?

My client is looking for a motivated, ambitious and energetic Client Account Manager to join their accounting team in a new role to support the growth of their lettings portfolio. The successful applicant will work with the team to direct the flow of client money through the company so that tenants' payments are received and landlords and suppliers are paid. There's more to this job than meets the eye and this is a great opportunity to join an excellent team in a busy and vibrant work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Report directly to the Senior Client Accounts Manager
-Setting up tenant Direct debit instructions using BACSWAY software however training will be available.
-Setting up of tenant rent ledgers and timely collection of rent by Direct Debit
-Generating and processing purchase invoices and paying contractors in a timely manner via banking software
-Processing and checking statements and making payments to clients in line with our Terms and Conditions
-Resolving billing queries from property owners
-Daily and month end bank reconciliations
-Lodgement of deposit funds with Tenancy Deposit Schemes in a timely manner for new tenancies
-Processing and releasing deposit funds held at end of tenancy
-Processing end of tenancy details for utilities
-Adopting a positive culture of professional behaviour and customer care at all times
-Maintaining a close co-ordination with other departments in the business
-Assisting the New Business dept with all financial aspects of property refurbishment and purchase
-Processing of annual insurance renewals and all compliance documentation
-Preparing House of Multiple Occupancy Licence applications and all supporting documentation

We are looking for:

-Must have proven experience in accounts, finance or bookkeeping
-Hold, or be willing to study for, Association of Residential Letting Agent Level 6 (or equivalent) industry qualification
-A passion for finance is vital for this opportunity
-A desire and drive to be successful
-Confident communication and organisational skills with high levels of attention to detail.
-Previous experience in a high volume finance environment would be beneficial, a background in the property industry is advantageous but not essential.
-Solid all round IT and admin abilities.
