Conrad's inaugural BIM breakfast took place in Leeds this morning, involving a BIM seminar by Mike Tofton & Andrew Ward from BIM Consultancy; Infinite BIM.
The seminar showcased the benefits of BIM using project examples by the likes of leading architectural practices such as Hawkins\Brown, Aedas & AHR and client-side; large-scale national Asda projects.
We were shown a walk-through of a BIM model, controlled with an Xbox controller to help view a project and were told about the integrations with Virtual Reality for showcasing projects to clients before construction stages began.
Infinite BIM finished up with a Q&A on the hurdles and processes of adopting BIM into projects and achieving Level 2 BIM accreditation and bidding for Level 2 BIM Projects and so on.
To top it all off, we enjoyed plentiful buffet of sausage and bacon baps, croissants, granola, fruit juices, tea and coffee. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a buffet?
We were pleased to see such a great attendance from our connections at Leeds architectural practices and we look forward to the next event.
We're pleased to have already had some great feedback from Mani Bassan who attended from Bowman Riley Architects.
