Job role: Principal Recruitment Consultant
Specialism: Civil & Structural Engineering - The North of England
I began working in recruitment straight out of university in 2001, cutting my teeth in trades and labour recruitment. After 4 years I decided that trades wasn’t for me and decided that I needed to see the world and find myself. After finding myself and returning with a great tan and lots of friendship bracelets I joined a major PLC working in the civil engineering sector. As the credit crunch hit I moved to work into the Social Housing market where I worked my way up from consultant to Divisional Manager. After 11 years of working in this market I decided that a change was needed. An ex colleague (James Jackson, Conrad Director) approached me at the right time and I jumped at the opportunity to join a great company at an exciting stage in their development and growth.
The type of positions I recruit for include, but are not limited to; Structural Engineers, Structural CAD Technicians, Structural Revit Technicians, Civil/Infrastructure Engineers and Civil/Infrastructure Technicians. I recruit at all levels, although I am particularly focussed on senior level appointments including Associate, Technical Director, Director, Partner and C-Suite roles.
Outside of work I run a babysitting and taxi service for 3 children. Any time not spent transporting children to various locations you will find me trying to play guitar as well as my 10 year old or on a dance floor in Ibiza!
