Job role: Recruitment Consultant
Specialism: Architecture - London
I joined Conrad Consulting in early 2019 to grow the London Architecture market following a gap year. Returning to the UK, I was looking for an opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge getting back into the industry that I had grown to love. Conrad has now given me the chance to join a well established, yet growing company in order to further expand my career.
The most common answer of any Recruitment Consultant when asked “How did you get into recruitment?” is normally, “I just fell into it”, and that is exactly what happened in my case. After finishing college at 18 I was on the hunt to get my foot in the door of a London firm, and out of the Hospitality sector I had been working in for the past 3 years.
I began my career in recruitment in 2016 as a Resourcer where I would assist senior members of staff with candidate generation while understanding and getting to know the Architecture market. After 6 months in this position I was promoted to a 180 Delivery Consultant where I got the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s largest Architectural practices. In my time in this position I was managing all Architectural positions from Part I’s to Directors globally from Asia, UAE, Europe to North America.
The past year I was fortunate enjoy to take 12 months away and live the dream of travelling the world. Living in the likes of New Zealand and Australia in addition to being able to travel to 5 continents and 19 countries in the last year was a real eye opener and gave me an insight into other cultures and ways of life.
As you can probably already guess, away from the office I normally spend my free time travelling or trying to book my next trip- and the odd bit of sport, normally watching West Ham struggle on the weekend.
