Job role: Senior Recruitment Consultant
Specialism: MEP Design & Sustainability - London
From completing my university degree, I moved into a sales role at a large privately owned media company, successfully completing three years within their advertising department. Conrad approached me in August 2014 to join the Suffolk team and I have not looked back, a fantastic journey so far.
I began my time at Conrad as a Trainee Recruiter, and progressed through the ranks to become a Senior Consultant. I now split my time between Suffolk & London, in our new Moorgate office, catching up with clients and candidates alike to discuss vacancies, industry news, career aspirations and growth plans.
I am passionate about building services and like to understand client’s requirements. With a keen eye for detail I like to ensure we send the right candidates across, first time!
Recruiting for a range of building services and sustainability design roles over 4 years, the industry knowledge I have amassed has been an exciting learning curve so far. I enjoy keeping up with industry news and being a specialist in the field I recruit in. The sectors I recruit within require varied skillsets to ensure buildings are functioning effectively, are environmentally friendly, and are ultimately safe and compliant with building regulations. This varied skillset throughout the sector means that I work with candidates and clients with a range of proficiencies, such as, but not limited to: Acoustic Consultants, BREEAM Assessors, CAD and Revit Technicians/Managers, Electrical Design Engineers, ESD Engineers, Fire Safety Engineers, Fire Protection Engineers, Low Carbon Consultants, Mechanical Design Engineers, Public Health Design Engineers & Thermal Modellers (IES and TAS).
Even if you are not currently looking I will always be happy to talk about the current state of the market, happy to go that extra mile.
Outside of work I follow a range of sporting teams that include Ipswich Town football club, Northampton Saints and England rugby union teams. An interesting fact about myself is that I had my spine rebuilt at the age of 15!
