Conrad Consulting is pleased to be working with a multi award winning structural engineering practice based in the City of London. They pride themselves on offering creative engineering design to build sustainable, appropriate, and cost-effective solutions for their clients.  

Their reputation and continuing hard work have ensured ongoing project wins, resulting in the need to recruit a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their small and dedicated structural team on a full-time permanent basis.

Projects: residential, Commercial, leisure, arts and sculpture ranging in value from £250k to £30m.

Responsibilities:

  • Structural design and detail for a range of projects, feasibility studies, inspections, surveys and reports;
  • Delivery of projects alongside the team of technical staff;
  • Liaising closely with Architects, clients, contractors, developers, and other professionals within the organisation;
  • Assist in the preparation and review of fee quotations for new projects.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • Between 2-5 years’ industry experience within the UK;
  • Experience of working for a smaller practice and successfully and efficiently managing projects;
  • Competency to design in a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and within time constraints to efficiently deliver projects/reports on time and within budget;
  • The capacity to think creatively and in new ways by challenging the ‘norm’ to produce innovative engineering solutions;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Full UK driving licence.
