Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a Principal Engineer to lead of team of Engineers on infrastructure related projects, related mainly to residential developments.

 Technical and financial management of a team of Engineers carrying out highways / infrastructure design work for mainly residential developments.
 Prepare all Infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD and other proprietary design software.
 Undertake negotiations with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on fundamentals of design for adoptable works.
 Understand and implement designs on private areas to comply with Building Regulations.
 Negotiations with statutory utilities to obtain quotations and layouts.
 Manage drawing production, in accordance with an agreed programme and appointed design team.
 Liaise with in-house Structural Engineer to ensure suitable structural resources available to compliment the design team.
 In conjunction with the design team, carry out value engineering of each project to ensure the company requirements are met by the most viable option.
 Provide single client point of contact.
 Understand the required programme, co-ordination and communication and involvement within project.
 Liaise with Infrastructure and Structural Engineer to ensure project information is complete, cross-referenced and distributed on time and within budget.
 Carry out project reviews to monitor technical and financial aspects at project level.
 Maintain and develop technical or management capability through CPD.
 Prepare flood risk assessments in accordance with PPS 25
 Prepare pre-acquisition reports.
 Technical support to sites
 Preparation of reports and input into Environmental Impact Assessments
 Development of specifications and procedures for highways design elements
 Advise on the sustainable use of new material and method of construction
